Our Story

Born out of a deep love for making things by hand and an obsession with fabrics.

The Name Goodfriday comes from the founder & chief maker’s Mkhulu (Grandfather) a man way ahead of his time.

We make practical wearable treasures to be enjoyed for years to come. Leaning on using more natural crisp cottons and richly textured handmade details.

Every piece of clothing is made on order in limited runs. This helps our small operation to function in a less wasteful manner. Making only what is needed & holding no finished garment inventory, only fabrics.

We will make a maximum of 10 units of each style, where after it becomes obsolete and new styles are introduced. Our goal is to make unique limited clothing items that will be robust enough to wear tirelessly for any kind of dressing up or down.
